Continuing from the last prompt:

“Contol do we have go ahead?”

“Well?”

“No response Sir. The only thing I can think of is she’s gone silient for another reason.”

This is why I hate the feudal planets, they were usually ag planets with little to recomend them and if you were taking a Merc ticket that usually meant that you were playing Robin Hood or Sherrif.

Our ticket is not quite complete Jonesie. Lets get back to base and see what Master says.

After listening to the demands of the seneschel, I responded,  “But dear and honorable sir, My government did not send, nor do we  care what free citizens do.” The minders were ready to get us out of this room at the first suggestion.

“Our most regal does not understand it that way. The dark company must be removed from our planet before trade negotiations can resume.” He sighed before changing back into my friend, “As it is I understand that the bonding process does not allow for Mercenaries to cancel their contract unless certain atrocities have taken place, and know our most regal, he is probably making matters difficult for the dark company to leave”

“So there is no way we will be able to get spaceport built is there?”

“Not until,” he reconsidered, “No there’s no way we can make it work.”

In case anybody cares, what the Lord wants is the mercenaries that were hired to depose him removed from the planet. The ambassador has no way to stop it.

I think I might continue this tiny thread of a story for the rest of the month.
